When do classes start? Classes will run April-October on the Kenosha campus and the Snap On Corporation parking lot. The schedule reflects a variety of options to choose from including days,evening, and weekednds. How do I enroll into a class? Registration is done on a first-come, flirst-served basis and must be done in person at any of Gateway's four locations. Payment is due at the time of registration. How do I get added to the mailing list? Click the link on the HOME page and complete the form. What are the advantages to taking the Basic Motorcycle Rider Course? Does Gateway provide bikes? Yes, and it is required that you use Gateway's bikes. What is the cost per class? $217.02 for instate tuition. Out-of-state tuition rates do apply to non-Wisconsin state residents. What type of bikes are provided? Small to midrange bikes. For example, 250cc Honda Nighthawk. What are the attendance requirements? Students must be present on-time and attend each session to successfully pass the course. The attendance policy is strictly upheld. Do I have to have an Instruction Permit before taking the class? No, more information will be available in class. What are the age requirements to take this class? What equipment is required for this class? Are refunds available? A student must drop a class before it begins to qualify for a full refund. Drops are student-initiated , in person, by submitting a completed drop form to any Gateway registration office. All refund rates are calculated on the date the drop transaction is completed. Non-attendance or notifying the instructor that you will not be attending does NOT constitute a drop. What is the MV3575 Waiver Proof of Enrollment Form, who needs one, and how do I get one? The MV3575 Waiver Proof of Enrollment Form will be issued upon request only after an individual has registered for a Basic Rider Course by calling 262-564-3904. This form is required by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation as proof of enrollment prior to obtaining a motorcycle instruction permit for the following individuals: In all the above cases, if a student fails to show up for class after having been issued a wiaver, the Department of Transportation will be notified immediately. All other students will receive their waiver upon successful completion of the Basic Rider Course.
