Driving Directions from I-94 Racine Campus is located immediately south of downtown Racine,
overlooking Lake Michigan. The campus is the name successor to
America,s first public institution, established in 1911, which is
dedicated specifically to employment skill training. Racine Campus Map
Exit on Hwy 20
(Washington Avenue) East - follow all the way in towards Lake Michigan
(Highway 20 will turn into 7th Street). Turn right (South) on Main
Street. Turn left (East) on Eleventh Street which becomes Pershing
Drive as it loops around the Gateway Campus. Turn left (West) onto
Gateway Circle and then right to Parking Lot D. Parking Lot C is
located to the south of the Racine Building and is also accessible for
parking.
Racine
Campus is the primary campus for over 40 Associate Degree and Technical
Diploma programs offered by Gateway Technical College.
The
campus is also the only site in America which has a statue honoring
both Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd Lincoln. The statute is erected near
the location in "East Park," on campus grounds, where Mary Todd Lincoln
visited almost daily during 1867, while living in Racine and mourning
the death of President Lincoln.
