Scholarships offered to students at the Horizon Center

  • The Lang Family Foundation Outstanding Educator Award. This cash award will be given annually by the Lang Family Foundation A&E Incorporated, to a faculty member. It can be used for inservice eduation, classroom supplies or tools.
  • The George Tennessen Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is named for longtime Kenosha transmission repair technician George Tennessen. It will benefit continuing students pursuing an automotive education at Gateway Technical College .
  • The Donna Martino Spencer Memorial Aviation Scholarship. The scholarship will benefit continuing students enrolled in Gateway Technical College ’s aeronautics-pilot training program.
  • The Ray Pederson Automotive Excellence Scholarship. Kenosha native Ray Pederson serves as the foundation director for the Wisconsin Automotive and Truck Dealers Association. The scholarship will benefit students pursuing an automotive education at Gateway Technical College .
  • The Snap-on Horizon Award For Excellence in Education and Training. This cash award will be given annually by the Lang Family Foundation A&E Incorporated, to a faculty member. It can be used for in-service education, classroom supplies or tools.
