Kenosha
The Kenosha Campus, 3520-30th Avenue , serves as not only an academic campus but as the home of the Gateway District Offices. The Center for Bioscience and the Integration of Computer and Telecommunication Technology is also located on the Kenosha Campus property. Gateway Technical College ’s Kenosha presence began in 1912 as the Kenosha Continuation School . Following numerous name changes over the decades, in July of 1971 the state vocational system combined the Kenosha and Racine operations and created the Gateway technical college district. The Kenosha Campus features 27 Associate Degree options, as well as numerous Advanced Technical Diplomas and Gateway certificates. The Campus recently introduced its Learning Gardens , designed and maintained by its acclaimed Horticulture Program students. The various types of gardens offer learning opportunities and enhance the beauty of the Campus grounds. The Kenosha Campus was proud to introduce its Health Career Labs, utilizing state of the art learning equipment, including the first Patient Simulator of its kind in Southeastern Wisconsin. The computer-operated Simulator allows students to react to real-world medical issues with the consequences of their actions simulated by the equipment. Numerous health career training options are available on the Kenosha Campus. A new Student Commons was introduced, offering students a comfortable location for relaxing or catching up on homework between classes. Food service is provided by Food Services Incorporated.
