VFW Posts donated a total of $2,016 to the Gateway Technical College Foundation Inc. Veteran’s Scholarship.
VFW District One recently presented the Foundation with the funds generated through members from nine area posts. VFW Post #7308 Commander Paul Fredericksen worked with Gateway Foundation to facilitate the donations. Gateway Racine Dean of Campus Affairs Ray Koukari, a veteran, helped start the scholarship last year, and community members Gateway employees have also donated to this scholarship.
The posts which have donated so far include Anderson Murphy Post 2823, Coat Of Arms Post No. #2751 Veterans Of Foreign Wars Of The U.S., Inc., Elkhorn Memorial Post VFW 6375, Father Matthias Zerfas VFW Post 11279, Gifford-Larsen Post 7924 Veterans Of Foreign Wars, Junker-Ball VFW Post 1865, Veterans Of Foreign Wars Como Post 5811, VFW Post 11038 and VFW Post No. 7308.
