News Release:

Public invited to attend

Entrepreneurs, business owners, high school seniors and college students will compete for a $5,000 prize with a 3-minute new business pitch at the Third Annual Racine/Kenosha FastPitch Competition Aug. 20 at Gateway Technical College's SC Johnson integrated Manufacturing and Engineering Technology Center, 2320 Renaissance Blvd., Sturtevant.

The public is invited to attend the event for the final pitches at 5 p.m. No registration is needed.

This is an opportunity for the 40 contestants to deliver a 3-minute "pitch" about a business or a business concept to a three-member panel of judges from the business and investment community. These innovative entrepreneurs will present business pitches ranging from traditional retail to technology and medical advances.

Ten finalists will advance to the final round. The competition winner will receive $5,000.
