Each year, Gateway Technical College hosts the Humanitarian Award Ceremony and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration.  The 2013 celebration, Reviving the Dream Through Education was enjoyed by approximately 375 guests.  They heard from Racine Police Chief Art Howell and Shanta Harris, as well as other featured guests.  For the online web stream of the event in its entirety click here.

Humanitarian awardees are nominated from Kenosha, Walworth, or Racine counties and have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to “improved lives and contributed to the well-being of people.”   This year's winners were: Jo Wynn, DaZahn Wilkerson, Jamy Koepke and Trevor Foster. They commented on how Dr, King's dream can be revived through education on this video.
