Learn the language and culture of Italy in the classroom and then experience it as you travel to Rome, Florence, Tuscany and Arezzo. Participants will enroll in a 3 credit Culture & Language of Italy course providing them essential conversational Italian as well as knowledge of the Italian culture. Once in Italy participants will travel to cultural and historical destinations such as the Trevi Fountain, the Sistine Chapel, and the Colosseum along with experiencing local art and wine tours. The entire trip will be lead by Italian language instructor, experienced Italian travel guide, and native of Genoa, Italy, Raffaele Salvatore Annina helping travelers make the most of their Italian experience.
Program is open to all Gateway students and staff. Estimated cost of $3,500 includes transportation, lodging, tours, breakfast, and coursework. Student participants will receive a scholarship of up to $1,750. Coursework can be included in financial aid if eligible helping to make the experience affordable.
Gateway staff participating in the trip are eligible for $500 in professional development funds as well as tuition reimbursement.

Please Note: The number of credits needed to participate has been reduced. Students now need to have a minimum of 6 credits to participate.
