Gateway Technical College Retired Educators' Association (GTCREA) was established in 2000 for the purpose of:

• providing a means to have a unified voice in local, state, and national matters
• providing a way to obtain legislation on taxation and other matters as favorable to retired teachers as to other groups
• promoting the spirit of fellowship, maintaining old friendships, and satisfying the need of social contact

Membership is open to all former Gateway teachers, administrators, and other staff, including maintenance, secretarial, and others who receive public pension benefits.

Associate membership is open to noncertified staff, spouses of Gateway retirees, currently employed staff of Gateway, and others who support public education who wish to join.

GTCREA is affiliated with the Wisconsin Retires Educators' Association, and the National Retired Educators Association - American Association of Retired Persons.
