Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund

The Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund is designed to provide education assistance for post-secondary education to dependents of those people killed or permanently disabled as a result of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, and during the rescue activities relating to those attacks.

The Fund will primarily benefit children and spouses of the following groups: airplane crew and passengers, World Trade Center workers and visitors, Pentagon workers and visitors, and rescue workers, including firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and law enforcement personnel.

Scholarship America®, has pledged that all contributions - 100% of the principal - will support undergraduate education of eligible students at accredited two-and- four-year colleges, universities or technical-vocational schools based in the United States. The program will extend to currently enrolled undergraduate students, as well as future students, through the year 2030.
