Holiday Gifting Show

Join us for our 7th annual Holiday Gifting art and craft show. More than 100 vendors will feature art, craft, and specialty products ideal for your holiday gifting. The Gifting Show features pottery, glass, photography, mosaics, and other fine art and craft; clothing, towels, and doll clothes; jewelry; home and yard décor; and much more. Your favorite home-based vendors will also be there. Take part in a great raffle to win some of our vendors donated items and support the Gateway Student Emergency Fund and Scholarship.

Celebrate Earth Day

On the Saturday closest to Earth Day in April, Gateway celebrates our environment with displays, workshops, hands-on activities for people of all ages, and other environment-related activities. The event, started on Gateway's Kenosha Campus in 2008, was extended to the Elkhorn and Racine Campuses in 2012. Hundreds of community members visit the Gateway campuses to learn and show their support for our environment. The 2014 Celebrate Earth Day event will be held from 10am-2pm on April 26th.  A gracious thank you to our event sponsor, Snap-on Incorporated for their support. And, additionally in Elkhorn, to Elkhorn Parks and Recreation Department and the Elkhorn Chamber of Commerce.

Gateway Technical College's 20th Anniversary Celebrating Dr. KingJanuary 20, 2014 marks the 20th year that Gateway Technical College has celebrated the ideals and contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through a noon program designed to inspire each of us to do our part to strengthen our communities.  This year’s theme is Education:  From Access to Success.

The Gateway Technical College Interior Design student organization is hosting its annual Chair-ity Auction benefiting the Autism Solution Pieces and Gateway Interior Design (ASID)  student organization. Gateway Interior Design students rescue chairs, give them a fresh design and sell them to the highest bidder at this unique benefit event.

Deaf Culture Day

Deaf Culture day is held on the Elkhorn Campus—generally in late March or early April--to honor deaf culture in America.  The event strives to bring hearing and deaf cultures together to break down communication and cultural barriers. Organizers also hope it will increase education and awareness of deaf culture.  The event generally features a guest speaker and several activities designed to bring deaf/hard of hearing people together with the hearing population for greater understanding.

Plant Sales

The annual plant sale features many different plants, including several new and exciting hybrids. Plants sales help pay for Horticulture student industry and career exploration trips, scholarships, garden needs and general program needs as well.
